7 Sweet Valentines Day Hairstyles with Tutorials
With this blog, we’re throwing subtlety to the wind. We just want cute, sweet, and lovey-dovey looks that sing “I love love”. So strap in and take a look through our curated list of hairstyles adorned with hearts, ribbons, and roses.
Heart Hair
Heart hair is a sweet look that gives the appearance of hearts sitting on top of the head. It’s a deceptively simple look that can be done in a matter of minutes. For this style, any wig will work fine as long as the parting line isn’t too close to where you’re securing your hearts. (A wig with a side part might look a bit odd with a heart coming out of the parting line.) A few wigs that would work well are: Karla, Kimber, and Ina.
Ribbon braids
This look starts off as a half up-half down hairstyle, but incorporates a ribbon for a sweet, modified look with braided tails. For this look, we recommend going with a medium to long length lace front wig with a wavy texture. The longer length will give you longer braided tails, and a lace front will allow you to pull your hair back without revealing an unflattering hairline. A wavy texture is optional, but we think it adds to the look. Some wigs that would suit this style are Feyre, Alicent, and Rooney.
Heart Braids
Add some sweetness to your braided pigtails with this tutorial! Any long wig would work fine for this look, though we recommend choosing a wig that’s at least 24 inches long so that you have enough hair to braid into the hearts. Our Vanessa, Elsie, and Akane wigs would be great for this style.
Claw-clip Heart
Jazz up your go-to claw clip hairstyle by shaping your ponytail into a heart! For this look we recommend using a lace front wig since you’ll be pulling your hair back and revealing your hairline for this look. Any mid to long length wig should give you enough hair to style into a heart. Some wigs that would suit this look are Yuki, Orla, and Feyre.
Decorate with Stickers
Stickers are an easy way to add some Valentine's spirit to your look! We recommend using 3-dimensional stickers over flat paper stickers because they’ll be easier to remove from your hair at the end of the day. Any style of wig would work well for this look, though we suggest our Ava, Katy, and Oriel wigs since they’re all relatively straight at the top. This provides a better base for the stickers to cling to than a wavy surface.
Bubble Braids with ribbons
Bubble braids and ribbons make for a sweet combination perfect for Valentines! Any long length wig would work well for this style, but we recommend using a wig with straight hair or gentle waves to avoid a dented look in your bubbles. We suggest using wigs like Onida, Mira, and Yuki.
Hair Bow
Don’t have any ribbons on hand for a bow? Skip them altogether and turn your own hair into a bow! Any wig that hangs below the shoulders like Maxine, Erica, and Robin will work fine for this style.
